USDA to Host Annual Field Day


Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 16th. All Farmers, Ranchers and others interested in the Central Great Plains are invited to the 103rd Annual USDA-ARS Central Great Plains Research Station Field Day beginning at 7:30AM, located 4 miles east of Akron on Highway 34. Continuation Education Units (CEU credits) will be available to certified crop advisors attending the field day.

This year’s field day will feature: “The latest research in dryland cropping systems.” The Station’s Scientists, CSU professors and CSU Extension will present several talks dealing with recent dryland research, dryland farm economics and CSU’s wheat breeding project.

Take a tour of recent dryland research. Meet your research station scientists and see what they have been busy with this past year. Registration starts at 7:30 AM with tours to follow immediately.
