2011 CFB Legislative Conference

Mark your calendar for the 2011 Colorado Farm Bureau Legislative Conference, February 1-2, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, downtown Denver (1450 Glenarm Place).  This conference is key to CFB’s policy implementation program by providing an opportunity for Farm Bureau leaders to gather and discuss current legislation, visit with legislators and state officials, receive up-to-date information on legislation and regulatory issues and review Farm Bureau policy. The Conference is open to all Farm Bureau members.

• On Monday, January 31, the State Women’s Committee will meet during the day with their Ronald McDonald House event that evening.  The State Board of Directors will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

• On Tuesday, February 1, all five CFB Advisory Committees will meet from 9:30 a.m. to noon.  Lunch is on your own. The Legislative Conference will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  The State Women’s Committee sponsors a reception and legislative dinner that evening which is provided for all attendees.

• On Wednesday, February 2, participants will spend the morning at the Capitol attending committee meetings and making contacts with legislators discussing CFB’s legislative priorities. We also encourage all Farm Bureau Members to meet with their own legislators and offer to take them out to lunch.

Hotel Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-692-6161 and remember to identify yourself as Colorado Farm Bureau (CFB) members.  Room rates are $129.00 per night, plus tax.  The cut-off date is January 7, 2011, so please make your reservations soon. County presidents or one designee per county will be reimbursed for their room and parking.  Advisory committee members are responsible for their individual mileage and lodging charges.  There is no registration fee for this conference; however, we ask that you RSVP to get an accurate number for meals/attendance.
